Clare County Council says deadline to submit views on planned works in Newmarket on Fergus is fast-approaching
Clare County Council says the deadline is approaching for members of the public and stakeholders to make submissions on its plans to install traffic calming measures in Newmarket on Fergus.
The local authority has issued a public notice highlighting its plans and a public consultation process, which is now underway, will conclude early next month.
The proposed works centre on the R458 and R470 roads in the centre of Newmarket on Fergus and will involve the construction of a raised tabletop to incorporate three junctions in the time and the the realignment of kerb lines at Main Street.
Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed works may be made by email to roads@clarecoco.ie, or in writing on or before 4pm on Monday, May 12.

Following the conclusion of the public consultation process, a report will be prepared for elected councillors before a final decision is made to proceed with the project.
