'Stay connected': Uisce Éireann urges Clare customers to sign-up for text alert service

Since the service was launched in 2024, over one million text alerts have been issued

Uisce Éireann are encouraging customers in Clare to sign-up for its free text alert service following significant increases in  investment to Ireland's water infrastructure.

The planned capital investment of over €10 billion for the next five years in areas such as leakage reductions, repairs to bursts and outages, and treatment plant upgrades will see hundreds of live projects underway in every corner of the country. This will lead to major improvements in water quality, security and resilience; however short-term disruptions are inevitable as a result and so staying informed is essential.

By signing up to the free text service, customers can receive real-time updates tailored to their area, helping them prepare for any interruptions. To date, over 250,000 people have signed-up to the service and are benefiting from up-to-the-minute information about their water supply.

With almost two million homes and businesses served by Uisce Éireann, the company is encouraging everyone to sign-up in order to keep informed and updated about any potential disruptions.
