The Shannon Airport Group is delighted to launch the Press Photographers Ireland CLG Exhibition, currently on display at the Airport for the next two weeks.

The AIB Press Photographer of the Year Awards honour the finest in Irish press photography. This exhibition showcases all winning and shortlisted entries. Over 100 captivating images that powerfully narrate Ireland’s story throughout 2024 are displayed across a variety of categories.

Welcoming the exhibition, Niall Kearns, Airport Director at Shannon Airport said: “We are honoured to host this stunning showcase of Irish photojournalism. They say a picture paints a thousand words and that’s certainly true here, with 2024 coming vividly to life as you move among these images. Congratulations to all the award-winning photographers. I encourage everyone travelling through, or visiting Shannon Airport, to take the time to experience it.”

David Branigan, President of Press Photographers Ireland CLG, noted that: “The age of fake news, disinformation, AI generated and manipulated images is truly upon us. Still, the viewers of these award-winning images on display now at Shannon Airport, like all the work of the members of Press Photographers Ireland, can be assured that only human technical and creative skills have been deployed in telling their stories.”
