This is part of an overall €1.3 million package for public libraries across the country, with over €100,000 going to Co Clare alone
Libraries across Clare now have laptops and tablets available for use by members of the public in library branches.
This equipment was made available by a recent grant from the Department of Rural and Community Affairs, from which Clare libraries received funding of €110,115.29 to provide new computers, laptops, iPads and other ICT equipment.
This is part of an overall €1.3 million package for public libraries across the country.
Tablets and laptops are available in the following libraries: De Valera, Ennistymon, Kilkee, Kilrush, Lisdoonvarna, Miltown Malbay, Scarriff, and Shannon.
Just tablets are available for use in the Corofin, Kildysart, Kilmihil, Killaloe, Newmarket, Sixmilebridge, and Tulla libraries.
