Gardaí in Ennis have issued an appeal for witnesses to the tragic road incident that claimed the life of an 18-month-old little boy in the town last week.
Hunter Molloy died from injuries he sustained in a road traffic incident outside the Ballaghboy Halting Site on the Quin Road, on Wednesday, May 8.
A statement from Clare's Crime Prevention Office asked "members of the public, motorists, cyclists, pedestrians and all road users to please be mindful of their personal safety in the coming weeks and months", in the wake of Hunter's tragic death.

They stated that gardaí in Ennis are "currently investigating a traffic incident which claimed the life of a juvenile in the past week."
"If there were any witnesses to the road traffic incident or if anyone has any information in relation to this incident they can contact Ennis Garda Station on 065 - 6848100 or any Garda station. The Garda confidential line is 1800-666-111."
At his funeral on Monday afternoon, Ennis parish priest Fr Tom Ryan told mourners: “Hunter’s life was lived fully…He never committed a sin in his life - he just radiated love.”
