The ballroom of Treacys West County Hotel is a abuzz with activity, as the formal counting of votes is set to get underway here at Treacy West County Hotel very soon.
According to Returning Officer Pat Dowling, all papers have been seperated, with "18 black boxes about to be removed from the hall", containing every vote cast in the European elections.

Mr Dowling is expected to take to the podium very shortly to begin the first count.
