Overnight works on major Clare road canceled due to bad weather

PLANNED overnight road works on a major Clare road have been cancelled due to anticipated adverse weather.

The N18 Surfacing Works were scheduled to begin Monday night, with a view to completing all work on the southbound carriageway by the morning of Friday 29th July. 

Colas Joint Venture, who are undertaking the works on behalf of Traffic Infrastructure Ireland (TII), stated that "due to adverse weather expected overnight the works on the N18 are cancelled tonight."

Work will now commence on Tuesday night at 7pm.

Works on major Clare road to be completed by end of month

To minimise the impact along the busy section of the N18, works are carried out between 7pm and 6am each night, with 2 lanes maintained in each direction between 6am and 7pm daily. There is a reduced mandatory speed limit of 60kph for the duration of the works.
