Clare-based company appoints new Chief Executive Officer

THE Board Element Six, which has a significant presence in Shannon, has announced the appointment of Siobhán Duffy as its new CEO with effect from next Wednesday - February 1. 

With over 30 years’ experience with Element Six, Siobhán is currently Executive Director for Sales and Marketing.

Since joining the company as Quality Engineer in Micron Production, then moving into Business Management for the Precision Grinding and Micron unit, Siobhán has held a series of senior management positions, leading the Oil & Gas business unit through unprecedented growth and, subsequently, heading the Element Six Innovation function as Executive Director from July 2014.

Under her stewardship, the Innovation teams at Element Six accelerated the company’s journey towards new applications and technologies, leading to significant milestones in established industries, as well as important developments in new areas of emerging technologies.

In 2016, Element Six won the public vote at the European Business Awards, demonstrating how its customers and key stakeholders value the company’s business and support its success.

Temporary speed limit to remain in place near Clare school

In 2018, the same year she was appointed Executive Director for Sales and Marketing, Siobhán was named in the Cranfield School of Management “100 Women to Watch” list, in recognition of her leadership and her inspirational role as one of the top female business talents in the UK.        

Siobhán possesses a wealth of synthetic diamond and tungsten carbide experience, and has consistently supported customers throughout the development of engineered advanced material solutions for their given industrial technology applications.
