MOTORISTS are being advised that the local authority intends to extend the temporary 50km/h speed limit which is in place on the L1012-6 at Drumnadeevna for twelve months.

The council has issued a public notice under the provisions of Section 10 of the Road Traffic Act 2004 confirming the proposed extension of the Road Works Speed Limit to facilitate the installation of a new pedestrian crossing at Boston NS.

The road is located in the West Clare Municpal District and, according to the public notice, the Order will take effect from this Saturday, January 28.

It will apply to the stretch of road 140 metres to the east and 225 metres to the west of All Saints Church, Boston which is close to the Clare/Galway border.

This Road Works Speed Limit Order will remain in place until January, 27 2024.
