APPEAL: Gardai seek witnesses after windows of digger on Clare building site are smashed

Shannon gardaí are investigating the incident of criminal damage which happened at Lios Anama in the village on Wednesday, February 19

Witnesses are being sought after extensive damage was caused to a digger on a building site in Sixmilebridge.

Shannon gardaí are investigating the incident of criminal damage which happened at Lios Anama in the village on Wednesday, February 19 - sometime between 7.30pm and 7.45pm.

"This Hitachi digger was parked up at 7.30pm and a short time later a number of perpetrators smashed a number of windows in the digger," said crime prevention officer Sergeant Catriona Holohan.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone that may have witnessed this damage or observed persons running from the Lios Anama estate in Sixmilebridge on the night to contact Shannon garda station on 061 365900.

Investigations are ongoing.
