Witnesses sought after window of car parked in Clare town is smashed

Gardaí in Ennistymon are appealing for witnesses after criminal damage was caused to a car which was parked in the town.

The vehicle, a silver Toyota Corolla was parked on Circular Road in Ennistymon when the damage was caused sometime between 7.45am and 10am on Wednesday, May 15.

"During this time, the rear window of the vehicle was smashed," explained crime prevention officer, Sergeant Catriona Holohan.

It's understood the damage totalled several hundred euro and there is no suggestion that any property was taken from the car.

"If anyone witnessed this incident or has any information that could assist the Ennistymon gardaí with their investigation, please contact Ennistymon garda station on 065 7072180," added Sgt Holohan.

No description of the culprit or culprits has been circulated publicly.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
