Witnesses are being sought following the theft of a Mercedes car by an individual who was posing as a potential buyer after the car was advertised for sale.
Ennis gardai are investigating the theft of the vehicle from the car park at Ennis Bus and Train Station on Tuesday, March 11.
"The owner of the vehicle, a black Mercedes Benz, met a potential buyer at this location at 9.15pm. The offender then stole the vehicle and was observed driving out the Quin Road," said crime prevention officer Sergeant Catriona Holohan who added that the car was observed in Limerick just after 10pm on the same night.
"The offender is described as a male in his early 20s with short dark hair. He was of light build and was wearing a dark-coloured tracksuit," said Sgt Holohan.

Anyone who observed the Mercedes car leaving the train station or travelling along the route to Limerick from Ennis and the Quin Road, is asked to contact gardai.
Any relevant CCTV or dash-cam footage is also being sought and people with footage are asked to make it available.
