All-Ireland Homecoming: Crowd of 40,000 welcome Clare squad home to Ennis

The Liam MacCarthy cup has returned to Clare after 11 years

A 40,000 strong crowd turned out despite the rain Monday night in Ennis to welcome home the All-Ireland winning Clare squad.

The Liam MacCarthy cup made its return to the Banner County after Clare cinched a nail-biting win over Cork in Croke Park on Sunday, July 21.

The All-Ireland champions paid a visit with the cup to the young patients of Temple Street Hospital before they left Dublin for a homecoming tour that stopped in Shannon and Clarecastle before taking to the stage in the Tim Smythe Park in Ennis to a rapturous crowd of saffron and blue.

Clare are All-Ireland Champions for the first time since 2013 and the fifth time in the history of the game.
