Protest songs have long been a way of forcing politicians to act.
For nearly 50 days, the singer-songwriter Mark Leahy has been protesting outside the Dáil in Dublin in an effort to get the Government to solve the housing crisis.
He was there on the day the coalition survived a motion of no confidence over the lifting of the eviction ban and the housing crisis.
Cold blooded, cruel and heartless are our Government. Week 47 tomorrow outside Dáil Éireann I'll be doing my weekly housing crisis protest at 1pm. There is a @RTRHomesForAll protest there at 12:30 so I'll get there for that. Spread the word. #keeptheban #everyoneshouldhaveahome pic.twitter.com/ia9Lx2Aedv
