Met Éireann forecasts 'above normal' temperatures twist following mild weekend

Ireland is set for a mild and settled start to November, with Met Éireann predicting “above normal” temperatures for the first week of the month.

High pressure is expected to dominate the weather, bringing largely dry conditions and unseasonably warm days and nights for this time of year.

The weekend has already brought mild weather, with Saturday staying mainly dry and cloudy, and daytime temperatures ranging between 12 and 15 degrees in light southeast or variable breezes.

Similar conditions are expected for Sunday, with mist and drizzle confined mostly to southern and eastern areas, and temperatures again reaching highs of 12 to 15 degrees.
