ALERT: Met Éireann warns of flooding as Thunderstorm warning is issued for Clare

The warning was issued shortly after 4.30pm this Tuesday and remains valid until 9pm

Met Éireann is warning of hazardous travelling conditions and potential localised flooding across County Clare due to bad weather this Tuesday evening.

The national forecaster, which has issued a status yellow Thunderstorm for the Banner County, says heavy showers with thunderstorms can be expected.  

The warning was issued shortly after 4.30pm this Tuesday and remains valid until 9pm.

Motorists and other road users are being urged to exercise caution if travelling during any thunderstorms or heavy rain.

According to Met Éireann, potential impacts include: Hazardous travelling conditions and localised flooding.

As of now, there are no other weather warnings in place for other counties.
