With Storm Kathleen just over, Met Éireann has issued a new 24-hour Status Yellow rain warning for five counties from Monday night.
The Status Yellow rain warning has been issued by the national forecaster for the southeastern counties of Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow and Waterford.
The warning will come into effect at midnight on Monday morning and will remain valid for a full 24 hours, expiring at midnight on Tuesday morning.
The weather is expected to bring flooding, bad travelling conditions and poor visibility for these five counties.
This is the latest warning after the country was battered by Storm Kathleen, which caused havoc for train services, due to fallen trees on sections of rail line.
