Clare Weather - Wednesday, September 13, 2023

A DRY START to the day with any mist and fog patches soon clearing. Cloud will thicken and outbreaks of rain will develop in western areas later in the morning and will spread eastwards across the province during the afternoon and evening. Southerly winds will become fresh and gusty with the arrival of the rain. Highest temperatures of 15 to 17 degrees.

NATIONAL OUTLOOK

Changeable, with uncertainty in the forecast regarding rainfall.

Outbreaks of rain will become confined to the east and south of the country tonight with drier and clearer weather developing elsewhere. Not as cool as previous nights, with lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees in fresh southwest winds, veering westerly.

There may be further rainfall in the south and east tomorrow, however this is uncertain. Otherwise it will be dry with best of any sunshine in the north or west. Maximum temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees with light northwest breezes. There is a chance of rain spreading to many areas overnight Thursday. The west and northwest will likely be dry. Lowest temperatures ranging from 6 to 12 degrees, coolest in the north and mildest in the southeast of the country.

There is a good deal of uncertainty in the forecast for Friday. Current indications suggest that there could be rain over the eastern half of the country for a time. Largely dry further west with some sunny spells and the odd shower. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees in moderate northeast winds.

Early indications suggest Saturday will bring a mix of sunny spells and showers, these most frequent in the east. Sunday is likely to see showers or outbreaks of rain become more widespread over the country.
