MET Éireann is warning of heavy downpours and potential surface flooding in Clare and several other counties later this weekend.
The status yellow thunderstorm warning, which was issued this Saturday, takes effect from midday on Sunday and will remain in place until midnight.
"Localised thunderstorms/slow-moving heavy downpours giving frequent lightning and surface water-flooding," states the warning.

While the warning for Clare, Cavan, Monaghan, Galway, Leitrim, Roscommon, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly and Westmeath comes into effect at midday on Sunday, a similar warning will take effect in other counties, including Limerick, Tipperary and Kerry at 6am.
Motorists are being urged to drive with caution if travelling while the warnings are in place.
