An amazing 15th century Irish castle sold for a surprising price at auction after an online bidding battle.
Two determined bidders went head to head to drive up the selling price for Strongford Castle in Galway.
Bidding started at €275,000 but after a five minute flurry of bids, the three bedroom castle ultimately sold for €296,000.
