Clare County Council have granted planning permisssion for a former garda station in east Clare to be converted for residential use.
Dermot and Lorraine Nolan were granted permission by the local planning authority the change of use of the former garda station at Broadford, county Clare, to a residential dwelling.
The proposed development for the change of use includes "the building up of the existing porch area and installing a window, relocation of the front entrance door, the construction of a new front porch, new windows on the west elevation and changes to door and window locations on the south elevation".

Permission for the development was granted by Clare County Council on Monday, September 30.
The property sold at auction for €158,000 in February of this year. According to the auction listing, the single storey detached building is approx. 75 sq m / 810 sq ft and sits on a 0.25 acre site "conveniently located within walking distance of the village of Broadford".
