Festivities got underway in Ennis this Thursday night, November 28 when Santa Claus came to town for the switching of the Christmas Lights.

With live music from the Circus Ponies and Vocal Ponies, the rain stayed away as the Abbey Street car park was filled with boys and girls ready to welcome Santa to town.

Special guests All-Ireland winning Clare hurling captain Tony Kelly and manager Brian Lohan dropped by with Liam MacCarthy in tow to help Santa and Mayor of Ennis Clare Colleran Molloy turn on the lights in Ennis.
