Travellers faced some delays and horsing around on their commute this Friday, after poorly-trained animals were led off the train tracks.
Iarnród Éireann says two trains were delayed by fifteen minutes on the Connolly to Maynooth line at approximately 10am due to a horse found on the wrong side of the tracks - and a cow on the platform.
Iarnród Éireann commented on the hairy situation on X (formerly Twitter), stating: “Bulling to get to work at Hansfield but staying behind the yellow line, and Nigel is a horse of a man helping another stray from the line near Leixlip.”
To passengers’ relief, the rail service confirmed this afternoon that “Men and beasts safe and well”.
Irish rail concluded: "All in a day’s work for our great Infrastructure teams ."
