BREAKING: Body of man discovered in Grand Canal in Dublin
Gardaí have launched an appeal for witnesses after the body of man was found in the Grand Canal at Coolscuddan, Newcastle, County Dublin on Saturday morning, 8 March.
The man's body, who has yet to be identified, was removed from the scene and taken to Dublin City Mortuary. A post-mortem examination occurred on Saturday, however no information on its findings have been released.
Gardaí have appealed for anyone with information to come forward. Gardaí are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have been in the area perhaps walking or cycling between the 12th Lock, Lucan and Hazelhatch Bridge between Thursday, 6 March and Saturday, 8 March.

Anyone who also may have been travelling in the area during this time and who may have any camera footage, including dash-cam, are asked to contact the gardaí.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Clondalkin Garda Station on 01 6667600, the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
Investigations into the man's death are ongoing.
