Gardai are investigating the death of a man at a hotel in County Laois.
Shortly before 8pm on Tuesday, emergency services were alerted to an incident at the hotel where a male in his 60s was found dead.
One man in his 30s was arrested and is currently detained at a Garda station in the Eastern Region.
An incident room has been established at Portlaoise Garda Station and investigations are ongoing.
