Drugs worth 260,000 euro found hidden in bag at Dublin Airport

A man has been arrested after 13.4 kilos of drugs were seized at Dublin Airport.

The herbal cannabis worth an estimated 268,400 euro was found hidden in the baggage of a passenger who had arrived on a flight from Malaga, Spain.

The search was conducted through risk profiling on Friday, Gardai said.

A man in his 30s has been arrested and is being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Dublin Garda station.

Investigations are ongoing.

This seizure is part of Revenue’s ongoing operations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
