Faulty nail lamp sold at TK Maxx and Homesense recalled due to electric shock risk

A nail product sold at popular shops in Ireland has been recalled due to a risk of electric shock.

According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), the RIO Professional UV Lamp is being recalled due to inadequate insulation which may lead to electrical breakdown of the bulbs, resulting in the user receiving an electric shock.

The affected product was sold in TK Maxx and Homesense stores between December 2023 and February 2024.

There are approximately 23 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

Customers should stop using the product immediately and return it to any TK Maxx or Homesense store for a full refund.

If customers have any further queries in relation to this recall, please email TK Maxx at customerservice@tjxeurope.com or call on 01 2476126.
