The two arrested arrested on Friday in relation to the deadly Creeslough explosion in Donegal in 2022 have been released without charge.

Four men, three women and three young people died in the blast at a service station in the centre of the rural village on October 7, 2022.

Two men in their 50s had been arrested on Friday for alleged offences contrary to the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997 in relation to the blast.

In an update on Saturday, gardaí confirmed the men had been released but that "the investigation led by Gardaí in Donegal Division is ongoing with the intention of submitting a file to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions."
