Men appear in court charged with daring robbery in Longford
Two men will appear before Longford District Court on Tuesday charged in relation to a daring robbery at a shop in Longford Town.
In the course of ongoing investigations into the robbery at a business premises on Earl Street, Longford, on Sunday, March 3, 2024, Gardaí from Longford Station arrested two individuals on Sunday, March 10, 2024.
They were taken into custody for questioning at a Garda Station in County Longford under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, and have subsequently been charged.
The two individuals, both males in their 40s, are expected to appear before Longford District Court on Tuesday morning.
It is alleged that at approximately 6.45pm on March 3, two males entered the business premises on Earl Street and discharged a canister of incapacitant spray. The suspects stole a sum of cash from the premises and fled the scene on foot.
No injuries were reported at the time of the incident.
