Lotto players urged to check tickets as one unknown winner bags tens of thousands

Lotto players in Dublin are urged to meticulously check their tickets after a fortunate Southside player clinched an impressive €51,390 in Wednesday night's draw.

The lucky winner successfully matched five numbers and the bonus, securing their windfall with an Advanced Play Quick Pick ticket purchased on Friday, December 22, from the Spar store on D’Olier Street in Dublin 2.

The winning numbers for the January 17 draw were 03, 04, 12, 13, 25, 29, with the bonus number 17.

The Match 5+Bonus winner, whose ticket is now valued at €51,390, is advised to promptly sign the back of their ticket and get in touch with the National Lottery prize claims team at 1800 666 222 or via email.

Arrangements will then be made for the fortunate winner to collect their prize at Lotto Headquarters.

This Wednesday night's Lotto draw witnessed over 96,000 players nationwide securing prizes across the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws.

With no outright winner of the €13,022,596 jackpot, anticipation is building as Saturday's Lotto jackpot is poised to reach an estimated €13.5 million.
