ALERT: Clare County Council announce closure of busy road for essential broadband works

Local access will also be maintained

Clare County Council have announced their plans to close a busy road in Killaloe to facilitate upcoming essential works.

In accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, the L-3098 John Street will be closed to the public for a period of four days this January 12-16. Local access will be maintained.

John Street will be off limits between the hours of 7am and 7pm to facilitate trenching works as part of the National Broadband Ireland Project.

Alternative routes/diversions will be put in place, including Abbey Street, Convent Road, Main Street, Church Street, Royale Parade. A diversion route map can be viewed here.

Any observations are welcomed and can be made by email to roads@clarecoco.ie or in writing before 4pm on December 12 to The Administrative Officer, Clare County Council, Roads and Transportation Department, Áras Contae an Chláir, New Road,Ennis, Co Clare.
