A road in the busy Clare village of Mullagh, which has been subject to a full road closure since October 2025, will remain closed for a further 43 days, with a 24-hour closure in place throughout this period.
The road closure in Cloonlaheen West, Mullagh, to facilitate essential works, has been extended until Friday January 30.

The road first closed to all traffic on October 28, 2025 to facilitate the installation of a new watermain.
Motorists travelling to Cloonaheen West are being advised to travel westwards on the R474. Turn left at Knockliscrane onto the L-2106, then take the next left onto the L-2120 towards Cloonlaheen West.
Meanwhile those travelling from Cloonaheen West are advised to divert eastwards on the L-2120 and turn right onto the L-2106 at Knockliscrane. Continue straight before turning right onto the R474 towards Cloonlaheen East.
The road closure notice was given by Clare County Council in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 of the council's decision to close the roads detailed hereunder for the period stated to facilitate the installation of a new watermain.
