Motorists and commuters in the Cratloe area of County Clare are being advised of potential delays this coming Monday due to road works on the slip-road accessing the N18 dual carriageway.

In a public notice, Colas has announced plans to close the southbound on-slip at Junction 5 (Cratloe), between 9am and 4pm, to facilitate drainage investigation and possible remediation works.

Traffic exiting Cratloe village and the surrounding areas will be diverted back onto the N18 at J4 (Limerick).

Motorists travelling in the direction of Bunratty and Shannon are being advised to allow addition time when planning their journeys.

Colas, which is carrying out the works on behalf of Transport Infrastructure Ireland, says the N18 will remain open for the duration of the closure which may be lifted earlier if the works are completed ahead of schedule.
