Major traffic delays following two multi-vehicle crashes on Clare motorway

Delays for Clare motorists ease following early-morning incidents on motorway network

Delays on M18 southbound

Commuters are being advised of major delays on the M18 in Clare this Monday morning following two collisions involving multiple vehicles.

The first collision took place between Junction 9 Shannon and Junction 10 Newmarket-on-Fergus, just after 7.30am this Monday, November 18, in the southbound lane.

The second collision, involving up to four vehicles, occured just before 8am, between Junction 10 and Junction 11 Dromoland, also on the southbound lane.

Gardaí and emergency services, along with up to seven appliances from Shannon and Ennis Fire Service are attending the scene between Junction 10 and 11.

The incident at Shannon has been cleared, according to TII Motorway Operations.

There is no information yet regarding injuries.

Motorists should exercise caution as delays are likely to continue through the morning.
