Clare motorists and commuters who use the Limerick Tunnel are being advised of overnight restrictions and likely delays during the coming week to facilitate works.
The operators of the Limerick Tunnel say full closures of the southbound carriageway, at Junction 2 (Dock Road) will be in place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday while restrictions will be in place on the northbound carriageway overnight on Thursday night and Friday night.
All of the works will take place between 7.30pm and 6am.
Because of separate works which are ongoing on the M20 (Limerick to Cork motorway) motorists are being advised to familiarise themselves with the diversion routes as they will vary from night to night.

On Monday night, traffic will be diverted M20, Junction 3 (Raheen), M20, Junction 2 (Dooradoyle) on Tuesday and M7, Junction 30 (Rossbrien) on Wednesday.
Motorists who intend using the Limerick Tunnel at any time during the scheduled works should allow extra time due to likely delays.
