OVERVIEW: Changeable with wet and windy weather at times. Temperatures near or below the November norm.
TONIGHT will be cold, dry and clear, though cloud will build in the west towards morning. There will be widespread frost as temperatures fall to between -1 and +3 degrees, in a light west to southwest wind.
SATURDAY morning will start off dry but it will become wet and windy through the day as rain moves east across the country and fresh to strong southerly winds develop. Clearer spells and scattered showers will extend from the west during the evening and winds will become westerly, however the rain will linger in the east until the late evening. Highest temperatures of 6 to 12 degrees.
The rain will clear from the east early on SATURDAY NIGHT and for the rest of the night there will be clear spells and scattered showers. The showers will be most frequent over the western half of the country. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 7 degrees in a moderate to fresh and blustery westerly wind.
SUNDAY will be bright and breezy with sunshine and scattered showers. They will be most frequent over the western half of the country. Highest temperatures of 6 to 11 degrees in a moderate to fresh westerly wind.
SUNDAY NIGHT will be wet and breezy as rain moves east over the country and winds strengthen. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees.
On MONDAY morning, the rain will gradually clear eastwards and will be followed by sunshine and showers. Another spell of rain is possible in the northwest later in the day. It will become windier too as fresh to strong west to southwest winds develop. It will feel cold with highest temperatures of just 5 to 9 degrees.
FURTHER OUTLOOK: Staying cool and unsettled with further spells of wet and windy weather possible.
