A GoFundMe has been launched to support the family of Joe Crosse, a "dedicated, generous and community-minded" Clare man who died suddenly in July 2025 following a tragic work-related accident.

Joe, from Ennistymon, Co. Clare, was a devoted husband to Bríd and a loving father to two young children, Teagan and Ódhrán. Known for his work as a plasterer and member of the Ennistymon Fire Service, he was admired for his bravery, mentorship of new recruits and infectious positivity.

Beyond his work, Joe was a beloved GAA coach, a skilled tradesman and a passionate fundraiser. He had completed 52 marathons in a single year and once ran 100 miles in 21 hours to raise money for the LauraLynn Foundation. Friends and colleagues remember him as always smiling, ready for a chat and willing to go above and beyond to help others.

The local community has come together to support Joe’s family in this difficult time. His siblings Tricia and Thomas, along with his brother and sister-in-law Benny and Paula, will complete a sky dive in his memory on Sunday, 5 October. The event has the endorsement of Ennistymon GAA, the Fire Service, Riverside Cycling Club and many other local groups.

All donations will go directly to Bríd, Teagan, and Ódhrán to help support them following this heart-breaking loss. The fundraising target is €70,000, with €66,046 already raised, 94% of the goal.
