The highest amount of applications came from Galway with 30,592
Nearly 4,000 applications for government support and assistance were received from people living in Clare who were impacted by Storm Éowyn earlier this year.
New figures provided by the Department of Social Protection to TG4's 7LÁ programme have revealed that there was 93,007 applications, across the country, in respect of 75,733 people for the Humanitarian Assistance Scheme.
This initiative was opened after the extensive damage caused by Storm Éowyn in January of this year, with these claims totalling almost €12.8 million in value.
The highest amount of applications came from Galway (30,592), Mayo (17,303) and Roscommon (8,702) with 3,826 affected Clare residents also submitting claims.
So far, 52,616 Stage 1 applications have been awarded in respect of 50,953 customers and currently, there are 22,149 applicants whose claims have been decided and have not been awarded a payment in respect of Storm Éowyn.

There has also been a further 14 claims awarded in respect of Stage 2 and 3 applications.
In relation to the applications that have yet to receive a decision, the Department anticipates that all applications will be processed by the end of May.
The Department says the figures provided to 7LÁ were accurate as of May 22.
