One past colleague from Helen's time at Bon Secours said, "I still can’t believe that Helen has died. She was such a warrior in the face of adversity. She had such a great heart, such an indomitable attitude, and such a wonderful spirit. Her positivity seemed to know no bounds. There never seemed to be a challenge, which was too much for her. Who could forget her roguish smile and hearty laugh."
