Clare County Council is currently inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for Beach Lifeguard / Senior Beach Lifeguard roles for summer 2024.
The Clare County Council Water Safety Ireland lifeguards provide cover at beaches across county Clare, including Spanish Point; Lahinch; Fanore; Bishops Quarter, Ballyvaughan; Whitestrand, Miltown Malbay; Seafield, Quilty; Whitestrand, Doonbeg; Kilkee; Cappagh Pier, Kilrush; Mountshannon; Ballycuggeran, Killaloe and Ballyalla, Ennis.
Candidates shall be of good character and should be no less 18 years on commencing employment.
They must, by the latest date for receipt of completed applications, hold a Beach Lifeguard Award from Water Safety Ireland or equivalent, and also have thorough knowledge of resuscitation including cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation.
Following the interview process a panel will be formed for the post, from which future relevant vacancies may be filled subject to sanction approval from the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
This panel will exist for the Summer Season 2024.
Closing date for applications is Friday February 16, 2024.
