The first Ennis Municipal District meeting of 2024 opened with councillors extending a warm welcome to their new senior engineer.
Sean Lenihan has been appointed as senior engineer in place of Leonore O’Neill, who was Senior Executive Officer for Ennis Municipal District (MD) since 2018.
Mr Lenihan was previously in charge of project management for Clare County Council, before taking the role with Ennis MD, effective January 1, 2024.
Many of the councillors at the first meeting welcomed Mr Lenihan in his new role, and expressed they were looking forward to working with him.
They also wished Ms O'Neill luck in her new role as senior executive officer of North Clare.
