Kilkee Civic Trust present the third of their summer talks series this week.
Hosted through the summer at Cultúrlann Sweeney, Kilkee, the talks cover a wide range of topics such as the history, music and wildlife of West Clare.
On Wednesday at 8pm, Éanna Ní Lamhna will give a whirlwind tour of the fascinating and unique wildlife of Co. Clare. She will explain about the original native Scots pines that still exist in the Burren as well as the butterflies there that occur nowhere else in Ireland. The unique situation leading to both Arctic Alpine and Mediterranean plants living side by side on the Burren will also be described.
Admission is free of charge. Culturlann Sweeney is advising attendees to arrive early to secure a seat as a large turnout is expected.
