A MAN has been hospitalised following a road traffic collision in the Shannon Free Zone area of county Clare this Friday afternoon.
Emergency services have confirmed they attended the scene of the two-car collision, which happened just before 2pm. Two units of Clare Fire and Rescue were deployed along with gardaí and ambulances.
A man has reportedly been taken to the University Hospital Limerick (UHL) for treatment of injuries. The extent of his injuries are not known but they are not believed to be life-threatening.
One of the cars was reportedly overturned in the incident. The occupants of both vehicles were assessed at the scene, with one injured party being sent to UHL as a ‘precaution’.
The road has since been reopened.
