Patrick Mckeogh Tractor Run will take place on December 17
DETAILS of the third annual Patrick Mckeogh Tractor Run have been announced.
The event, which will raise funds for Irish Cancer Society, takes place on Sunday, December 17 - starting at 1pm at Ballina GAA field.
Patrick McKeogh (16) fell from a quad bike as he was retrieving cattle that had broken loose from the family’s dairy farm, at Inchadrinagh, Ballina, County Tipperary, early on the morning of June 28, 2021 - his death was ruled as accidental following an inquest.
Over 100 tractors took part in the Tractor Run in 2021 and again last year each year and the event continues to grow in popularity.
The route will see a large selection of trucks and lorries travel through parts of Clare, Limerick and Tipperary before finishing back in Ballina.
Following the conclusion of the run, a monster auction will take place in Liam O'Rians pub in Ballina starting at 8.30pm sharp.
A top-bred spring calving heifer, several trailers of timber, half-ton bags of timber, several tons of animal feed, jackets, hats and body warmers, are among the items that have been donated for the action.
