CHRISTMAS festivities will get underway in Kilrush on Monday with the traditional blessing of the Crib at the Vandeleur Walled Garden.
A variety of free family-family events are planned for throughout the month of December with Santa scheduled to arrive at the Town Square on Friday, December 8 - ahead of the official switching on of the Christmas lights that evening.
Other highlights include a Christmas Fair at Kilrush Community Centre from 4pm to 9pm on December 9 and Carol Singing on the Market from 10.30am on December 14.
There will be a Christmas Flower demo at Teach Cheoil Kilrush at 7.30pm on December 16 while a Christmas Market will take place Saturday, December 16.
A special Christmas Farmers' Market will take place on Thursday, December 21.
All of the events are supported by Kilrush Chamber of Commerce, Kilrush Town Team, Vandeleur Walled Garden and Visitor Centre, Visit Clare, Clare County Council and Clare FM.
