Clare girl raises thousands for worthy charity ahead of Miss Ireland competition

Hannah organised a trad music night and raffle in The Local Inn, in her native Ballyea

CLARE-native, and Miss Munster 2023, Hannah Morrisey, will take to the Miss Ireland competition stage this Saturday, but not before doing her part for a charity close to her heart.

Hannah, who hails from Ballyea, chose to support the Limerick Marine Search and Rescue, a voluntary organisation dedicated to saving lives on the Limerick waterways as part of the competition's Beauty with a Purpose segment.

Here, contestants were tasked with raising awareness about the Julian Benson Foundation, which supports individuals with cystic fibrosis, and also to fundraise for a charity of their choice.

By doing so, the Clare girl raised over €3,700 for the worthy group, Limerick Marine Search and Rescue.

Hannah, who works as an emergency medical technician, was crowned Miss Munster in August, and as well as accepting donations on her iDonate page Hannah organised a trad music night and raffle in The Local Inn, in her native Ballyea.
