MET ÉIREANN have issued a "Moderate Advisory" weather warning for Clare.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, there will be heavy showers or longer spells of rain at times with flooding likely in places, as soils are saturated and river levels are high, the warning stated.

The warning is in place from 10am Tuesday October 31 until 11pm Thursday November 2.

Squally showers on Wednesday morning will be accompanied by very gusty conditions.

Later Wednesday and on Thursday, further rainfall associated with Storm Ciarán may lead to flooding. It is likely that the heaviest rain will be in southern and eastern coastal counties around the country.

Additional impacts from this weather warning include poor visibility and difficult/dangerous driving conditions.
