The Gulfstream G650 is the world’s ultimate ultra-long range corporate jet
AIRCRAFT charter operator GainJet Ireland has been given additional regulatory approvals.
The company, based at Shannon Airport has received extra grants from the Irish Aviation Authority and the European Union Aviation Safety Authority.
The certifications mean management at the firm can now offer their customers “greater flexibility, independence and efficiency” according to its accountable manager Ray Mills.
“We are marketing our services to other operators and owners as our new approval will also allow us to issue airworthiness review certificate recommendations to the Irish Aviation Authority.”
The announcement comes as staff at the company gear up for a major expansion. A second office for GainJet Ireland is expected to open in Dublin before the end of this year.
Mr Mills added: “We have expanded our services from aircraft management into providing demonstration, delivery and maintenance check flights primarily to satisfy the growing needs of the lessor market. Ireland is a global leader in aircraft financing and leasing.”
Approximately 50% of the world’s leased aircraft are managed or leased in Ireland.
“Our decision to open an office in the heart of these leasing companies in Dublin’s financial district will facilitate GainJet Ireland’s presence amongst these lessors,” he said.
GainJet Ireland were also granted a commercial operators’ drone license by the Irish Aviation Authority.
Founded in 2016, GainJet employs 40 people at Shannon Airport, and operates the only fixed-wing air ambulance in the country.
