A marine protection talk scheduled to take place in a Clare town has been postponed to next week.
Hosted by the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group (IWDG) and supported by the Fair Seas Campaign, the Marine Protected Area talk was set to take place this Friday evening at Shannon Dolphin Centre in Kilrush.
The talk has now been rescheduled to take place at the same venue on Friday, August 11, from 6pm to 8pm.
In a statement IWDG said: "we're sad to say that due to unforeseen circumstances, tonight’s Marine Protected Area Talk has had to be postponed."
"We hope our audience will be able to attend on the new date and look forward to seeing them there. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused."
The event is supported by the Fair Seas Campaign and celebrates the rich waters off the South West coast.
Sibeál Regan, Education and Outreach Officer with the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group is to give a talk about the whales, dolphins and porpoises that call this part of the country home. She will also speak about the Fair Seas campaign to protect, conserve and restore Ireland’s unique marine environment, and a panel discussion will also take place.
