Clare town hosts fourth free community talk

Aoibhín Garrihy is a guest speaker at the KCT event

THE FOURTH Kilkee Civic Trust (KCT) talk is to take place with two special guests.

The free event is on in the Cultúrlann Sweeney, Kilkee library at 8pm on Wednesday, July 26.

The fourth talk of the nine talk series will see speakers Aoibhín Garrihy and Marc Ó Riain share poetry and stories in what promises to be a ‘lyrical event’.

Known for her role as Neasa Dillon in Fair City, Aoibhín will be reading her own collection of poetry entitled Everyday Is A Fresh Beginning: Meaningful Poems For Life. She will also discuss her life as a female business owner.

Kilkee native and author Marc Ó Riain will read excerpts from his publication The Last of Light, which is a collection of short stories of the Loop Head peninsula.

A donation box will be available at each KCT Talk, to assist in defraying essential and necessary expenses.
